Murat Dzhioev, South Ossetia Foreign Minister, hosted a meeting with Egor Kochiev, Head of Diplomatic Mission of the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia, on September 5.

Current terms of bilateral relations between the two Republics as well as range of issues of mutual interest were on the agenda.

Murat Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the event dedicated to the International Day of the Disappeared, organized by the ICRC mission in the Republic of South Ossetia on August 30 in Tskhinval.

Exhibition of photos from book “Life Long Memory”, published by the ICRC in cooperation with “Memory and Hope” South Ossetia NGO, was opened.

Murat Dzhioev, South Ossetia Foreign Minister, hosted a meeting with Mauro Murgia, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Italy, who arrived to Tskhinval on a working visit, on August 29.

Issues concerning operation of the representative office in Rome were discussed on the meeting. Mr. Murgia informed the Minister about the objectives of the visit and his plans in implementing projects in cultural and educational spheres.

Festivities dedicated to the 8th Anniversary of recognition of South Ossetia’s Independence by the Russian Federation were celebrated on August 26 in Tskhinval. Eight years have passed since Dmitry Medvedev signed the historic Decree of the Russian Federation President on Recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia, that had been preceded by years of bloody struggle of South Ossetia people against Georgia for the right for free life and future worth living.

Murat Dzhioev, South Ossetia Foreign Minister, hosted a meeting with Narim Kozaev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and in the Republic of Nicaragua, on August 24.

The Ambassador informed the Minister about details of recent visit to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where he participated in solemn ceremony and delivered credentials to President Maduro.

Murat Dzhioev, South Ossetia Foreign Minister, hosted a meeting with Nalan Antmen, Head of the ICRC mission in South Ossetia, on August 19.

Full range of the activity conducted by the Mission on territory of the Republic in general and latest achievements of the Committee as well as current projects and plans for the nearest future in particular were talked in detail.

Narim Kozaev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, handed over credentials to Nicolas Moros Maduro, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, at the official ceremony that took place at the Miraflores presidential palace on August 10, 2016.

Greeting the Ambassadors on behalf of the Venezuelan people, President Maduro emphasized the importance of building up interstate relations based on mutual assistance and respect to international law.

July 14 saw Andrey Tskhovrebov, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia, meeting Mauro Murgia, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Italy, and Federico Ciceroni, a film critic, who had arrived to Tskhinval to participate in Days of Italian cinematography.

The event organized by Italy-South Ossetia Friendship Society with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of South Ossetia will take place in “Chermen” cinema and concert hall on July 14-16.

 

July 12 saw Leonid Tibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, receiving credentials from Juan Ernesto Vásquez Araya, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua in the Republic of South Ossetia.

Andrey Tskhovrebov, the Acting Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia, participated in delivery presentation of the credentials.

A brief talk where the importance of conducting further development and strengthening bilateral relations was noted took place upon the ceremony.
