Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov extended a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of his birthday.

On February 15, leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia participated in the official ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths to the monument to soldiers-internationalists, which was held among the events, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

Similar statements were made at various levels earlier. It is absolutely obvious that they are non-relevant for us. The Ossetian people who have experienced not once the “peacefulness” of its southern neighbor, understand perfectly the true meaning and value of such words.
