On February 15, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev participated via videoconference in the reporting board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, dedicated to the work of the foreign department in 2023.
Head of the Official Representation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Pliev participated in the meeting as well.
President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky, leadership of the PMR Supreme Council and the Government, Ministers and Heads of agencies, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaliy Yankovskiy and others participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Pridnestrovian Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev reported about the main results of the foreign policy activities in 2023 in conditions of tense international and regional situation, which require timely response for the existing challenges and threats, and noted the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the running year.
The South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev welcomed the Pridnestrovian colleagues and emphasized that despite the strained international climate, the interaction between the foreign policy departments of the two states is of a stable substantive nature, and expressed hope for further strengthening of the multifaceted ties between South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie.
