On March 1-7, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia participated in work of the VII Global Forum of Young Diplomats “Diplomacy in the Era of a Multipolar World”, which was held at the sidelines of the World Youth Festival in “Sirius”.
The Forum became a platform for an open and free exchange of opinion between 150 diplomats from 60 countries. Establishment of the Secretariat of the International Association of Young Diplomats, whose charter was approved in October 2021, became the main event of the Forum.
The agenda of the Forum included working sessions held on a range of issues related to global agenda. On the sidelines of the Forum meetings were held with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, first of all, with Sergey Lavrov. Bilateral and trilateral consultations between youth organizations of foreign ministries, a chess tournament with Russian grandmasters, a friendly football match, as well as an entry ceremony for forum participants into the International Association of Young Diplomats took place.
