July 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.Sanakoev was in the Republic of Abkhazia on a working visit during which he met Foreign Minister V.Chirikba.
They discussed the main lines and development prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two states in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. During the meeting, the ministers condemned the adoption of the UN General Assembly on July 3, 2012 resolution "Situation of Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and the Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia, Georgia," because the resolution was considered without the participation of representatives of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
During the meeting the sides noted the importance of the development and signing of the plan of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Abkhazia for 2013-2014 years as well.
D. Sanakoev and B. Chirikba expressed their mutual intention to continue a substantive political dialogue strengthening the partnership between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia and deepening cooperation between diplomatic departments of two countries.
During the visit D. Sanakoev also visited the children from the Republic of South Ossetia resting in the summer camp.
