The announcement of the Republic of South Ossetia Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 25 March 2012 another elections of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia were held in the Republic of South Ossetia.

Elections were held in full compliance with the electoral legislation of the Republic of South Ossetia and international standards. Voting took place at 85 polling stations, including the polling station, opened in the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation. A few dozen international observers followed the voting according to whom elections in the Republic of South Ossetia is fully consistent with high standards of electoral and democratic principles. A large number of journalists covered the course of the election.

According to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of South Ossetia from the four candidates running in elections, two candidates are leading - L.Kh. Tibilov and D.G. Sanakoev, they go into the second round of voting.
The second round of elections expected to take place on April 8.

The environment on Election Day was calm, the election passed without disturbances of public order.
