The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by Russia.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
"For 15 years now, the State of Alania has been developing in a new capacity as a full-fledged subject of international relations and a reliable partner of Russia. On this memorable day for all of us, a new chapter in the history of the country was opened, marking the era of creation and prosperity.
With the recognition of the sovereignty and independence of the RSO, the long-term aspirations of its inhabitants, so close and understandable to all Pridnestrovians, have come true. This step did not just launch a series of establishing diplomatic relations with other countries - it gave Ossetians a sense of confidence in the future and pride in their homeland.
