At the same time it has been emphasized that South Ossetia is not refusing of participation in the existing format which bears great importance for near border security, and once again has urged the Co-Chairs to exert influence on Georgia in order to exclude in future similar inadmissible approach to issues which are vital for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Serious attention has been drawn to humanitarian issues, which would be discussed in Geneva by members of Working group II.
The South Ossetian delegation has reiterated its firm stand about the impossibility of discussing the issue of refugees until Georgia stops turning the problem into a political issue, through bringing it at international stages beyond the framework of the Geneva discussions.
After the meeting the Co-Chairs of the GID answered questions from local media.
