On December 13, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev participated in the ceremony of awarding the Bulæmærg (“Nightingale”) Literary Award in Moscow.
Akhsar Dzhioev addressed the participants and guests of the ceremony with a welcoming note from the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev.
On December 12, at the invitation of the Major of Moscow S. S. Sobyanin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Z. N. Gassiev took part in the New Year’s Eve reception, which was held in the Moscow concert hall “Zaradye”.
On December 12, in framework of the working visit to Moscow, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev participated in the solemn ceremony of honoring one of the most outstanding representatives of the Ossetian nation, Army General, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Issa A. Pliev. The event was organized in connection with the 120th anniversary of Pliev’s birth and was held in the Hall of Glory of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, located on Poklonnaya Hill.
From December 4 till December 8, 2023, employees of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry attended professional development courses in the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Russia.
On December 9-10, Belgrade hosted the XVI Regional Conference of Russian compatriots from European Countries “Historical memory, Russian language and Culture- the foundations of Identity of the Russian Diaspora in Europe “
On 5-6 November, 2023, a recurrent round of International Discussions on Security in Transcaucasia was held in Geneva. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA and representatives from the EU, UN, and OSCE participated in the meeting. The South Ossetian delegation was led by State Counselor to the President K. K. Kochiev.
November 23 saw the ceremony of laying the Garland of Memory and Glory at the memorial complex to the Defenders of South Ossetia, as well as a rally, organized at the entrance to Tskhinval city on Prisskaya Hill, to honor those guys, who stood up to protect the Motherland.
On November 23, South Ossetia celebrates the 34th anniversary of the beginning of the struggle of the South Ossetian people for freedom and the right to live in its land. This is a special date in the history of our Motherland symbolizing unprecedented courage and unity of the nation.
On October 27, the Official Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Austria, Patrick Poppel, visited the South Ossetian State University named after A. A. Tibilov, where he gave a lecture to students and teachers of the Department of Political Science and Sociology on the topic: “Public diplomacy as an important tool in modern international politics".

On October 20, a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of South Ossetia Alba Azucena Torres Mejía was held in Moscow.
