On 1 October, a trilateral meeting was held in Moscow between Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits.
At the trilateral meeting, the ministers examined key aspects of the international and regional agenda, noted the need for coordination of actions at the International Discussions in Transcaucasia, and spoke in favour of maintaining direct dialogue between Tskhinval and Sukhum, on the one hand, and Tbilisi, on the other.
During the conversation, the heads of the foreign ministries gave a high assessment of the current state of traditionally friendly relations and reaffirmed their determination to deepen and further develop allied relations.
