Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits on the occasion of Victory and Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The message of congratulations, in particular, reads:
"September 30, 1993 is a significant date that embodies the heroism, fortitude of spirit and selflessness of the Abkhaz people in their struggle for the freedom and independence of their Motherland. This victory became an important milestone in asserting state sovereignty and the international recognition of Apsny.
For South Ossetia, Victory and Independence Day of fraternal Abkhazia is a particularly close and understandable symbol, reflecting our common destiny and unity in our aspiration to build a sovereign state. I am deeply convinced that the further deepening of allied ties in all areas will continue to serve the fundamental interests of our countries and contribute to their further development and prosperity."
