On 29 September, a meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. Dzhioev and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua V. L. Jaentschke Whitaker, who arrived in Tskhinval at the head of a delegation to attend the official inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of South Ossetia M. Kambolov.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua N. Kozaev, Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia S. Tadtaev, and Counsellor-Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Nicaragua in the Russian Federation C. Arana.
A. Dzhioev thanked his Nicaraguan colleagues for their unwavering support, noting that the visit of the Nicaraguan delegation would become another important step in strengthening friendly contacts between the two republics.
During the conversation, the parties emphasised the importance of further developing partner relations between Tskhinval and Managua.
