On 29 September, South Ossetian Foreign Minister A. Dzhioev met with J. R. Salazar Velasquez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation, who had arrived in Tskhinval to attend the inauguration ceremony of M. Kambolov as President of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The meeting was also attended by A. Tskhovrebov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and A. Sanakoev, Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Missions of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.
The Minister thanked the Ambassador for his visit and noted the significance of the presence of Venezuelan representatives at the celebrations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral agenda and stressed the importance of further strengthening friendly ties between South Ossetia and Venezuela.
