September 9 marks the 17th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.
This event laid the foundation for the modern stage of comprehensive cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia. On the basis of strong traditions of friendship and proximity between the peoples, rooted in history, South Ossetia and Russia in a relatively short period of time have built relations in the spirit of strategic partnership based on the principles of transparency, mutual trust and support, respect for each other's interests.
In today's difficult circumstances, South Ossetia and Russia, whose fraternal relations have stood the test of time, are determined to continue strengthening the South Ossetia-Russian alliance in every way possible, in the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Ossetia and Russia, a congratulatory message was sent on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Akhsar Dzhioev to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
