On 3 June, the South Ossetian delegation to the International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasia held a working meeting with the Co-Chairs of the Discussions from the EU, OSCE and UN in Tskhinval.
During the meeting the pressing issues of the agenda of the forthcoming 64th round of the Discussions scheduled for 25-26 June were discussed in detail.
In the context of strengthening security and stability in the region, the South Ossetian side reiterated the importance of intensification of the work on elaboration of a legally binding document on non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia.
Among positive aspects, the sides noted the effectiveness and productive value of the joint Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) and, in particular, of the hotline to facilitate the prompt settlement of incidents on the border, which continued its regular work.
On humanitarian issues, special attention was paid to the search for the missing South Ossetian citizens.
There was expressed readiness to continue fruitful and constructive work within the framework of the negotiation process taking into account the current realities.
