On 27 May, a video conference was held at the South Ossetian State University named after A. A. Tibilov with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev and the Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Donetsk.
From the South Ossetian side the event was also attended by the Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. G. Sanakoev and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia. From the side of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the video conference was attended by the Head of the Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Donetsk N. S. Mikhailova, Counsellor of the Representative Office M. Y. Glebov and representatives of the Donetsk Centre of Youth Diplomacy “LEGATUS”.
The parties exchanged warm welcoming words. Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation N. S. Mikhailova congratulated Minister A. M. Dzhioev and the staff of the Ministry on the approaching professional holiday –the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia. On his part, Minister A. M Dzhioev expressed hope that today’s video conference will become the first step on the way to long-term cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and young diplomats from the DonetskPeople’s Republic.
During the video conference Minister A. M. Dzhioev also answered questions from students of the “LEGATUS” Centre of Youth Diplomacy about different aspects of South Ossetia’s foreign policy, as well as about what professional and personal qualities a young diplomat should possess.
