On November 6, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev participated in a plenary session entitled “Crimea - the outpost of Russia in the struggle for a just world order” within the framework of the Yalta International Forum-2024 (YIEF) “Friends of Crimea – Friends of Russia”, which takes place on November 6-7 in Moscow.

Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev also took part in the event.

As part of the opening of the YIEF, a ceremony of awarding state and departmental awards to foreign friends of the Republic of Crimea was held.

The Forum in Moscow brought together Russian politicians and entrepreneurs, as well as experts in the field of international law, including from abroad, to discuss political issues. Among them are Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Glazyev, representatives of the diplomatic corps, etc.

During the forum special attention will be draw to the discussion of the activities of the International Association of Friends of Crimea. Following the sessions, a resolution will be adopted on the main topics of the Yalta International Forum.

Yalta International Economic Forum (YIEF) is a multinational business and political event held annually since 2015 in Yalta, Crimea. This year, for the first time, the forum has been divided into two parts. The first, dedicated to the discussion on political issues, takes place on November 6 and 7 in Moscow. The economic part will take place in early December in Ufa.
