On 7 October, President of the Republic of South Ossetia A. E. Gagloev hosted a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev.
The Foreign Minister reported on the results of the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov that took place on October 4, 2024.
Akhsar Dzhioev conveyed to the President words of greetings and gratitude from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov who expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the Republic of South Ossetia, personally Alan Gagloev, for supporting the Special Military Operation and particularly stressed that the decision of the Russian leadership of 2008 to recognize the sovereignty and independence of South Ossetia is not subject to revision.
Addressing Akhsar Dzhioev, the Head of State expressed sincere gratitude to the Russian Federation for the support it is providing to our people in this challenging time, and also noted that South Ossetia will keep relying on close cooperation within the framework of existing agreements.
