On September 2, the Mayor of Tskhinval Romeo Khugaev held a meeting with the Mayour of Gradara (the Italian Republic) Filippo Gasperi at the Consular Agency of the Republic of South Ossetia in Vladikavkaz. Gasperri arrived in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania as part of the delegation taking part in the commemorative events on the occasion of the 20-th anniversary of the tragic events in Beslan.
The Head of the Consular Agency of South Ossetia in Vladikavkaz Moris Sanakoev, the Head of the Directorate of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Taimuraz Dzhidzhoev, the Representative of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy Mauro Murgia also participated in the meeting.
During the conversation the parties expressed mutual commitment to further development of cooperation within the framework of the 2018 Agreement on cooperation between the Administration of Tskhinval and the Municipality of Gradara/
For his active work the Representative of the South Ossetian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy Mauro Murgia received a ministerial award of the Ministry of Foreigh Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia "For coopetation."
