On August 26, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev participated in ceremony of laying flowers to the monuments to Vladislav Ardzinba, the first President of the Republic of Abkhazia, raised in Lower Eshera village, and Sergey Bagapsh, the second President of the Republic of Abkhazia, raised in the village of Dzhgyarda of the Ochamchira region.
The ceremony, timed to the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Russian Federation, was attended by Zaza Driaev, Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Arsen Kvezerov, Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia for economy, small business and agriculture.
