The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba sent a congratulatory note to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.
The note, in particular, reads:
“Russian recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia as sovereign and independent states on August 26, 2008 became one of the milestone events in the modern histories of our states.
While preserving its national identity and centuries-old traditions, the Republic of South Ossetia confidently follows the path of development and strengthening its statehood.
We appreciate high the relations that have established with South Ossetia. We are confident that thanks to our joint efforts we will further intensify consistently the bilateral interstate cooperation in all areas for the benefit of our nations.”
