The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal al-Mekdad sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by Russia.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
"I am glad to send you my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation.
We hope for further strengthening cooperation for the benefit of common interests at all levels, as well as to strengthening the close allied relations that bind our countries at the bilateral level, which contributes to the discussion of issues of mutual interest."
