On January 16, Alan Gagloev, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, met with Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Znaur Gassiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation.
A report on the results of the work, conducted by the Foreign Ministry in 2022, and plans for further period was made.
Minister Dzhioev emphasized that the primary objective of the foreign policy is, as earlier, further development and strengthening relations with the strategic partner – the Russian Federation, and marked the close contacts established between the Foreign Ministries of the two states. Alongside with this, cooperation with foreign departments of other states, with which South Ossetia has diplomatic relations, as well as work on extension of international contacts, continues.
In his turn Znaur Gassiev assured that the South Ossetian Embassy would continue its work aimed at strengthening the allied South Ossetia-Russian relations in all areas.
Alan Gagloev thanked Akhsar Dzhioev and Znaur Gassiev for active work and expressed hope that the plans would be achieved.
