On May 24, Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosted a meeting with Nataliya Nikonorova, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who had arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the inauguration of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The parties discussed the current level of the bilateral relations and reiterated readiness to further development and deepening of the cooperation between the two Republics. Special attention was paid to the situation in Donbass, in particular to the issue of insuring safety of the civilian population.
Nataliya Nikonorova marked that the people of Donetsk highly appreciate the support extended by the leadership and the people of South Ossetia and expressed gratitude for the military, political and humanitarian assistance.
Dmitrii Medoev noted the importance of joint struggle which is being waged today to liberate the territories of Donetsk and Lugansk of Nazis, expressed confidence that thanks to joint efforts all the tasks set will be fulfilled and wished peace to the people of Donbass.
