On January 11 in the White Palace, the residence of Serbian royal dynasty, Crown Prince Alexander II Karadjordjevic and Crown Princess Katherine hosted a meeting with the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov.
The President thanked the royal couple for hospitality and warm reception, told about certain aspects of the Ossetian history, which is inextricably bound up with the history of Russia and Russian people, and assured of the inviolability of the historic alliance between Ossetia and Russia.
In his turn Crown Prince Alexander II emphasized the community of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Orthodox Church, the uniting role of the Orthodoxy; told about the activities conducted by the Serbian Royal Family and the Family’s role in public life of the state.
Issues of bilateral cooperation, possibilities of implementing various humanitarian projects, as well as educational and healthcare programs, were discussed during the meeting.
Igor Kozaev, Chief of Administration of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Dmitrii Medoev, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Gela Valiev, Council of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the meeting.
Anatolii Bibilov presented Crown Prince Alexander II with a sabre made by Ossetian artificers. In his turn Crown Prince Alexander II presented the South Ossetian President and members of the delegation with memorable gifts.
The meeting was followed with an excursion, organized for the guests in the Palace.
