Press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia

Exchange of ratifications of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership signed between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on December 22, 2017.

Andrey Tskhovrebov, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Egor Kochiev, Head of Diplomatic Mission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia signed the Protocol on exchange of ratifications of the Treaty.

In accordance with Article 21, the Treaty comes into force on the date of exchange of ratifications.

The Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was signed in Tskhinval on September 20, 2016 by Domenti Kulumbegov, the Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Pavel Prokudin, the Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and stipulates, in particular, further development of cooperation in political, trade and economic, social, humanitarian and cultural spheres based on a partnership between state authorities, business units, institutions and organizations.
