Dear citizens,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia announces, with effect from 7 October 2026, a competition for inclusion in the personnel reserve of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia for filling positions in the principal and leading groups of the state civil service.
Citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia who have reached the age of 18 are entitled to take part in the competition. The age limit for service in the civil service is 65 years.
Qualification requirements:
As regards education:
– possession of a higher education;
As regards length of service:
– for filling positions in the principal group of the state civil service: no less than two years of service;
– for filling positions in the leading group of the state civil service: without any requirement as to length of service.
Conditions of service in the state civil service:
A five-day working week with two days off – Saturday and Sunday. The start and end of the working day and the rest break are established as follows:
– start of the working day – 9:00;
– end of the working day – 18:00;
– rest and meal break – from 13:00 to 14:00.
For filling positions in the principal group of the state civil service – irregular working hours;
For filling positions in the leading group of the state civil service – regular working hours.
List of documents to be submitted for participation in the competition for inclusion in the personnel reserve of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia:
a) a personal application;
b) a completed and signed application form in the form approved by Order of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia No. 105-r of 08.09.2021, with a photograph;

c) a copy of the passport or of a document replacing it (the relevant document is to be presented in person upon arrival at the competition);
d) documents confirming the required professional education, qualifications and length of service:
– a copy of the employment record book (except in cases where service (employment) activity is being undertaken for the first time), certified by a notary or by the personnel service at the place of work (service), or other documents confirming the employment (service) activity of the citizen;
– copies of documents on education and qualifications, as well as, at the citizen's discretion, copies of documents confirming the upgrading or conferral of qualifications on the basis of additional professional education, and documents on the conferral of an academic degree or academic title, certified by a notary or by the personnel service at the place of work (service);
e) a document confirming the absence in the citizen of an illness preventing entry into or service in the civil service.
We draw your attention to the fact that documents for participation in the competition are accepted from 7 October 2026 to 27 October 2026 at the address: 1 Khetagurov Street, Tskhinval.
Time for the acceptance of documents: Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 17:00 (break from 13:00 to 14:00). For more detailed information, you may also call 45-22-43.
The competition is held in two stages.
At the first stage, on the basis of the documents submitted, the competition commission decides whether to admit candidates to the second stage of the competition.
The second stage of the competition will be held in the form of testing and an interview to assess candidates' compliance with the basic qualification requirements (knowledge of the basic provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of South Ossetia, of the legislation of the Republic of South Ossetia on the state civil service and on combating corruption, and of the state languages of the Republic of South Ossetia, as well as knowledge and skills in the field of information and communication technologies) and their professional and functional knowledge in the areas of the ministry's activity.
The decision on the date, place and time of the second stage of the competition (testing and individual interview) is taken after the competition commission has verified the documents submitted and is brought to the attention of the citizens admitted to the competition.
