The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Félix Ramón Plasencia González on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the recognition of the Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
"The historic date of September 10, 2009 is forever inscribed in the chronicle of South Ossetian statehood. The decision adopted 17 years ago under the leadership of the great son of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, a leader who demonstrated true solidarity with the peoples fighting for their freedom, is not merely a diplomatic act, but evidence of the commonality of our values."
Akhsar Dzhioev also sent a congratulatory message to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of South Ossetia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez.
