On 28 July, Deputy Chair of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Anna Tskhovrebova took part online in the international round table "Peacekeeping Mission on the Dniester: 34 Years of Peace and Stability," held at the T. G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University.
The event, initiated by the PSU Centre for Peacekeeping Studies, brought together PSU faculty and students, specialists from the Centre for Peacekeeping Studies, representatives of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), and staff of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.
Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Ozerov sent greetings to the participants, in which he emphasised the effectiveness of the current peacekeeping mission and stated that Russia would continue to take all necessary measures to ensure security on the banks of the Dniester.
During the round table, participants discussed the origins of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester and its role in ensuring peace, security and stability in the country. They also analysed public perceptions of the peacekeeping operation, as well as current challenges and prospects for the development of peacekeeping mechanisms.
