Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South OssetiaAkhsar Dzhioev extended a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal al-Mekdad on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of signing of the Joint Communique on mutual recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between the South Ossetia and Syria.
The letter, in particular, reads:
“The event, which happened on the day of another anniversary of the Declaration of the Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia, became one of the most important events in the modern history of South Ossetia, a bright and symbolic confirmation of the rightness of the path chosen by the Ossetian people, which strengthened the people’s faith in fairness, alliance and friendship.
The people of South Ossetia deeply respect and are grateful to His Excellency Bashar al-Assad for that valiant and courageous step and to the people of Syria, who extended a helping and supportive hand despite all external and internal hardships. That noble resolution will remain embedded in the memory of the Ossetian nation.”
Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory note to Bashar al-Jaafari Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Russian Federation as well.
