The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a note of condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal al-Mekdad.
The note says:
«The message was received with a feeling of deep sorrow in South Ossetia about the attack by the Israeli armed forces on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, as a result of which there are human casualties among the staff of the consular office, as well as Syrian citizens.
Any form of use of force against buildings enjoying immunity, as well as diplomatic personnel representative and civilians in accordance with the conventions on diplomatic and consular relations, is unacceptable.
Dear Mr. Minister, I express my sincere condolences in connection with the incident».
