On 18-19 July a working visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia took place. The delegation composed of Deputy Director of CIS 4th Department MFA of the RF A.A. Dvinyatin and the RF Minister of Foreign Affairs Councilor M.M. Kulakhmetov.
In the frames of the visit the delegation was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia M.K. Jioev. In accordance with the Memorandum on Mutual Aid between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the issues of international relations collaboration, counseling between the two Ministries on the questions of bilateral relations of mutual interest was held.
A meeting with the South Ossetian participants in the Geneva talks on security in Transcaucasia also took place. The problems connected with the perspective of the Geneva process development were considered.
The Delegation of the MFA of the RF visited Leningor region and saw Zonkar reservoir in Tskhinval region as well.
