The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The message, in particular, reads:
“The date of September 10, 2009 will remain in the chronicles of the Ossetian nation as one of the most significant historical events. The recognition of the sovereignty and the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela became the symbol of sincere solidarity, selfless support and the triumph of justice.
That responsible and courageous step became another confirmation of Venezuela’s commitment to a just world order, its readiness to defend the ideals of kindness and creation, to develop good neighboring relations and mutually beneficial diplomatic ties.”
