A meeting of Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, took place in Moscow on November 8.
The parties exchanged opinion on relevant issues of the bilateral cooperation and reconfirmed the mutual aspiration to deepen and intensify the South Ossetia-Abkhaz dialogue.
The parties touched upon the problems of security and emphasized the importance of preserving peace in Transcaucasia. Russian efforts to maintain stability in the region as well as the state’s contribution to social and economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia was highly appreciated.
An agreement was reached to continue regular communication trough foreign policy departments in order to coordinate further activities.
