On May 18, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov awarded the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitrii Medoev with the medal “Defender of the Motherland”.
A.I. Bibilov noted the contribution of D.N. Medoev in the struggle for the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia and the protection of the territorial integrity of the state, and also congratulated the Minister on his recent anniversary. The President emphasized that the Union of Veterans of the War of 1989-2008 applied to him with a request to present the award to the Minister.
In his turn, D.N. Medoev expressed his gratitude for such a high award and noted the attention paid by the President and the leadership of the Republic to combat veterans.
“As a veteran of the resistance movement, on behalf of all veterans, I want to convey to you the words of gratitude for your attention, for the attitude of the leadership of South Ossetia towards veterans,” emphasized the Minister.
