On 25 of April the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation S. V. Lavrov visited the Republic of South Ossetia. Within the Framework of visit eventuated meetings with the President of RSO E. D. Kokoity and the Minister of Foreign Affairs M. K. Dzhioev.
Participants of the meeting in constructive and friendly atmosphere discussed wide specter of questions of bilateral relations. The parties of the meeting emphasized significance of further grow of interaction at the main courses of economic, cultural and foreign policy cooperation. Significance of Geneva discussions on the range of security problems at the Northern Caucasus had been stressed.
By decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia S. V. Lavrov was awarded by the Order of Honour.
There were signed three agreements, particularly Agreement on establishment and activity conditions of information and cultural centers, Agreement on principles of cooperation and terms of mutual relations in transport sphere and Agreement on cooperation in the realm of air search and rescue. M.K. Dzhioev and S.V. Lavrov exchanged notes with notification of accomplishment of domestic procedures on entering into power of intergovernmental Agreement on mutual visa-free trips of RSO and RF citizens.
S.V. Lavrov laid flowers at the Memorial cemetery in the yard of Tskhinval school №5.
There was made a city sightseeing tour. S.V. Lavrov visited an Embassy of Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia and inspected construction of Embassy buildings complex.
The same day S.V. Lavrov left the Republic of South Ossetia.
