Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosted a meeting with Alan Elbakiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of South Ossetia.
In his welcoming speech Minister Medoev noted the traditionally friendly interstate relations between South Ossetia and Abkhazia and the open and confident dialogue with Abkhazian foreign-policy partners.
In his turn Ambassador Elbakiev congratulated Dmitly Medoev with the appointment to a high position and wished him success in the responsible work.
The parties exchanged opinion on current level of South Ossetian-Abkhazian relations and marked the perspectives and possibilities of further enlargement of bilateral cooperation.
Range of questions of mutual interest was discussed and the parties reiterated their commitment to further constructive cooperation.
