Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev addressed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V.V. Ignatiev with words of sympathy and support on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Fallen Defenders of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The message, in particular, reads:
"1 August is a special date in the history of Pridnestrovie, the day on which the Republic honours the memory of those who, during the conflict of 1992, defended the independence and freedom of their native land, paying the highest price for it. This date has forever remained a symbol of the courage, self-sacrifice and heroism of the Pridnestrovian defenders."
