The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia sent a congratulatory message to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic on the 8th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Syrian Arab Republic.
The message reads, in part:
"The signing ceremonies for the bilateral documents, held in Damascus on 22 and 23 July 2018, laid the legal foundation for political, economic and cultural interaction between South Ossetia and Syria. Remaining committed to the further intensification of South Ossetian-Syrian interaction, South Ossetia proceeds from the importance of strengthening friendly relations and full-scale dialogue."
