On 28 May, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev received M.M. Kulakhmetov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia.
M.M. Kulakhmetov conveyed to A.M. Dzhioev a congratulatory message from M.Y. Galuzin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of Diplomatic Worker's Day of South Ossetia, which reads, in particular: "Since the proclamation of the Republic, the leadership and staff of the Ministry have worked selflessly to strengthen the international standing of your country. We value the trusting and genuinely warm character of contacts between our ministries. Building on the principle of foreign policy coordination, we will continue our work to promote the deepening of Russian-South Ossetian relations and to expand the geography of Tskhinval's foreign ties. An important milestone was the signing by Presidents Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Alan Eduardovich Gagloev on 9 May 2026 of the Treaty on the Deepening of Allied Interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia."
Marat Kulakhmetov, on behalf of the staff of the Embassy and on his own behalf, congratulated Akhsar Dzhioev and all staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on Diplomatic Worker's Day and on the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ambassador also noted that the foreign ministries of the two countries had, in a relatively short time, jointly brought relations between Russia and South Ossetia to the level of allied partnership and, more recently, set them on the path of deepened integration, and expressed the hope for continued constructive and close interaction, underpinned by the good relations that have developed between the staffs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Embassy of Russia in Tskhinval.
