The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia announces a video essay contest for students in grades 9–11 of schools in the Republic: “Independence is a responsibility: The Future of South Ossetia is in the hands of the youth” /, which is dedicated to the Day of Adoption of the Act on the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.
Essays in Russian or Ossetian (no more than one work per participant), as well as a video recording of a fragment of the essay read by the author, are accepted for participation in the contest.
All accepted works that comply with requirements will be published on the official Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia (https://t.me/mid_rso). The deadline for accepting works is from May 12 to May 29, 2026, inclusive. Two winners will be selected independently by an expert commission and through public voting (on the platform of the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia). The names of the winners will be announced on June 8, 2026. Both winners will receive equal monetary prizes.
