On November 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, A. M. Dzhioev attended the presentation of the book “The History of the Ossetian Genocide of 1920” by Konstantin Petrovich Pukhaev, a prominent politician and scientist, Candidate of Historical Sciences, which was held at the Z. N. Vaneev South Ossetian Scientific Research Institute and was timed to the Day of Courage and National Unity.
The book offers an in-depth analysis of the events of 1920, which will forever remain one of the darkest pages in the history of the centuries-old national liberation struggle of the Ossetian people.
At the beginning of the event, on behalf of Alan Gagloev, President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Konstantin Kochiev, State Counselor to the President, read out the welcome address, in which the importance of publishing such materials in the context of preserving historical memory was emphasized.
Director of the Institute Robert Gagloity noted that “The History of the Ossetian Genocide of 1920” will take its rightful place among the books about the history of the Ossetian people.
