Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South OssetiaAkhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory note to Minister ofForeign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Valdrack LudwingJaentschke Whitaker on the occasion of the significant date – the46th anniversary of the Victory of the Sandinista Revolution.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
“On this day, 46 years ago, the dictatorship of Somoza, the erathat brought Nicaragua and its citizens so much suffering, butwhich also became the incentive for the unity of the people, wasended. Thanks to their undefeatable courage, unbending will andunwavering steadfastness, the freedom-loving Nicaraguanssucceeded in defending their freedom and the right to decidetheir own fate, the right to sovereign existence and thedevelopment of their State.
The people of South Ossetia cherish with sincere warmth anddeep gratitude the memory of the support, extended to ourcountry by Nicaragua, which became an important testimony offraternal solidarity in those difficult times for us. I express myconfidence in further strengthening friendly relations for thebenefit of our countries and peoples.”
A congratulatory letter from Akhsar Dzhioev was also extendedto the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of theRepublic of Nicaragua to the Republic of South Ossetia AlbaAzucena Torres Mejia.
