On February 23, Akhsar Dzhioev, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister, participated in a solemn flower-laying ceremony, dedicated to the Defenders of the Fatherland Day and the 30th anniversary of the South Ossetian Ministry of Defense. Flowers were laid at the Monument of the Defenders of the Fatherland and at the chapel of the Memorial Cemetery of the Victims of the Georgian aggression in the courtyard of secondary school No. 5.
Leadership of the Republic, headed by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Marat Kulakhmetov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia, Alan Elbakiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia, representatives of ministries and agencies, service men and public participated in the ceremony.
