At the invitation from the Beslan Mother’s Committee, a delegation from Italy and San Marino is in Beslan on September 1-3, the anniversary of the bloody terrorist attack. The Representation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Italy initiated and organized the event.
In framework of the visit, a flutist from San Marino Monica Moroni would give concerts and several workshops for students of music schools and colleges.
Representative of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry in Italy Mauro Murgia marked that Italy had deeply sympathized and taken to heart the murder of innocent children of Ossetia, and emphasized that such a tragedy should not be allowed to repeat.
The people of Italy were among the first who condemned the barbarous crime, which caused numerous casualties. In San Marino local residents installed a bronze monument to honor the memory of the children of Beslan.
