On August 22, Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetian, hosted a meeting with Alan Elbakiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia.
The Head of diplomatic mission congratulated Akhsar Dzhioev on the appointment to the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and extended to him wishes of fruitful work from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba.
In his turn, Akhsar Dzhioev marked the importance of strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between South Ossetia and Abkhazia, including in sphere of foreign departments’ interaction, stressing the full implementation of previously achieved agreements.
The parties exchanged opinion on relevant issues of the bilateral cooperation and reconfirmed the mutual aspiration to further interaction.
