During the working visit to Abkhazia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia A.Z. Ankvab.
Dmitrii Medoev and Alexander Ankvab exchanged opinion on current state of the bilateral relation and noted with satisfaction the growing contacts between the fraternal countries and increasing interaction in a number of areas of cooperation.
The parties stated the full support of South Ossetia and Abkhazia for the actions of the Russian Federation in relation to the recognized republics of Donbass and the special military operation of the Russian Federation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine.
The parties informed each other about measures to support the peoples of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, including in the issue of providing humanitarian support to refugees who had arrived in South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Abkhazia O. I. Botsiev, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia S. Y. Tadtaev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia I. V. Tuzhba also participated in the meeting.
