On February 24 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitrii Medoev played host to the new Head of the ICRC Representative Office in the Republic of South Ossetia Dragoslav Blazhevich.
During the conversation, the Head of the ICRC Representative Office presented information on the activities of the organization for 2021, in particular, the humanitarian programs that the ICRC is implementing in accordance with its mandate, and outlined the planned projects for 2022.
An exchange of views also took place on some topical issues of mutual interest.
Dmitrii Medoev positively assessed the activities of the ICRC in South Ossetia and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
Dragoslav Blazhevich thanked the ministry for providing constant assistance and assured of further continuation of cooperation on solving humanitarian aspects, including the issues of missing persons.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Foreign relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia T. Dzhidzhoev, from the ICRC – Head of the Defense Representation Department N. logachev and the public relations officer M. Tedeti.
