On January 24, a working meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev with the Secretary General of the Eurasian People’s Assembly A.Yu. Belyaninov took place in Moscow.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on key issues of friendly bilateral relations, discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects and events in the fields of culture and economy.
Taking into account the growing role of integration processes on the Eurasian continent and attaching great importance to the development of communication platforms at the international level in order to establish humanitarian and business cooperation, an agreement was reached to sign an agreement on cooperation and open a Representative Office of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly in South Ossetia.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Z. N. Gassiev.
The Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly is an international union of non-governmental organizations and citizens with an active life position, sharing and promoting the ideas and values of Eurasian integration, protection of peace, strengthening friendship, harmony, partnership and good neighborliness between peoples.
The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Assembly of the Peoples of Eurasia” was established at the Constituent Assembly on May 27, 2017.
