The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D. N. Medoev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V. V. Ignatiev on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The congratulation, in particular, says:
This day in the history of Pridnestrovie and its people is undoubtly the main holiday of the country, symbolizing the unity, cohesion and desire of Pridnestrovians to develop their young state, formed 31 years ago. The path traversed over the years demonstrates in the best way the unshakable will of the people to stand and strengthen their statehood, to live a free, dignified life.
Today the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic possesses significant potential for economic growth and solving urgent social problems. The modern appearance of the Republic has been formed. The leadership and people of Pridnestrovie clearly and effectively implement the chosen course of Freedom and Independence, building a state where human rights and freedoms are paramount.
The peoples of South Ossetia and Pridnestrovie are linked by a common destiny and traditions of friendship. Highly assessing the existing level of relations between our countries, I am convinced that friendly ties between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will continue to develop progressively. This is facilitated by a solid bilateral legal framework and the mutual desire of our freedom-loving peoples to live in peace and harmony.
South Ossetia reaffirms the inviolability of the people’s right to independently decide their fate and their path of historical development, build and strengthen friendly relations on the principles of equality, non-use of force and peaceful coexistence.
Dear Vitaly Victorovich, on this significant day I express to you and you colleagues, to entire Pridnestrovian people, my heartfelt wishes for the peace, wellbeing and prosperity.
